Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for a few destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy availability of trucks against cargo movements.
Transporters said comfortable truck positions mainly pulled down freight rates for some desitnations.
Delhi to Goa, Surat and Guwahati freight rates fell by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 53,000, Rs 24,000 and Rs 49,000.
Elsewhere,freight rates for other centres remained unchanged.
