Amid a raging controversy over the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the FTII chairman, AAP today took a jibe at the government saying his selection must have been done after watching the "quality" of his movies.
AAP leader Ashutosh said appointment of Chauhan despite the public outrage speaks of the government's commitment towards democracy.
"The government that can appoint Gajendra Chauhan as FTII head/continue despite public outrage, speaks about its commitment to talent and democracy.

"I am dead sure I&B minister must have appointed Gajendra after watching his Quality movies. That is the taste of the government," he tweeted.
Best known for playing Yudhisthira on TV epic 'Mahabharata', Chauhan, a BJP leader, has acted in several nondescript television shows and films.
