'Game of Thrones producer launches new fantasy series

Frank Doelger, one of the producers of "Game of Thrones", has joined up with "Rome" producer Jonathan Stamp on an ambitious new fantasy series set in a fictional, tribal world.

"The Perished Land", which Doelger and Stamp will co-write, is set on the fictional world of Talanton. It is described as a primitive, tribal world where human and supernatural forces interact, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Rainmark Films will produce with Germany's Hofman & Voges and Beta Film. Beta will handle international sales.
