Gangrape victim suicide case: Accused detained under NSA

An accused in the gangrape of a health worker, who later committed suicide, in January has been detained under the National Security Act by the district authorities.

District Magistrate D K Singh said main accused in the case, Shahid (23), who is in jail, was yesterday detained under the National Security Act.

A 40-year-old married health worker allegedly committed suicide on January 12 as the video of her gangrape by Shahid and three others was uploaded on social media in Chapra village here.
