Designer duo Gauri and Nainika took the flower and colour route for their autumn-winter line at the Amazon India Fashion Week.

Their show was designed like a sunny Sunday brunch and the clothes were inspired by the striking shapes and colours of the pansy.

The show opened with leggy gowns and gradually moved towards longer gowns with elongated hemline. It ended with a series of floor length gowns with shapes ranging from slender to full-skirted.

The collection was young and vibrant with a strong colour palette comprising of bright oranges, electric blues, good dose of purples, reds, greens, besides the classic black and whites.

The line was a mix of solid colours, bold prints and ruffles, which further added glamour and femininity to the styles.

There were also some stone embellishments scattered on some pieces along with floral appliques. Few pieces were designed with black lace highlights and some wide stripes.

As the Gauri and Nainika came to take a bow after the completion of the show, the latter was joined on the ramp by her todler daughter.

The designer duo's latest collection was their second collaboration with American artist Travis Bruce Black, who created the imageries of pansies for the designer.
