Ggn makes GPS mandatory for vehicles ferrying female employees

To ensure safety of women working at BPOs, call centres and other places in the corporate sector, the Gurugram district administration has made it mandatory to install GPS devices in vehicles used to ferry them to and from their workplace.
The Global Positioning System (GPS) devices will have to be installed within a month from today, an official release quoted Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Hardeep Singh as saying.
Gurugram has emerged as a hub of international level firms offering IT, finance and educational services, where a large number of women are working, Singh said.
