Ginger unbleached declined further in an otherwise mute spices market here today following sustained selling from stockists amid subdued demand from retailers.

Other spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Ginger unbleached fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 120 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 125.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 620/690 (620/690), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (125), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,600 (closed), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,500 (closed), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,200 (11,200), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,200 (10,200).
