A two-year-old physically challenged girl was found abandoned in the general compartment of a train at Barkakana Junction in this district, an RPF official said today.
The child was spotted by the Railway staff when they were closing the doors and windows of the Adra-Barkakana passenger train after it reached its destination last night, RPF Inspector Vijay Shankar Singh said.
The staff informed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) about the child who was later sent to hospital for medical check-up as she was ill, he said.
