Girl crushed to death in road mishap

A ten-year-old girl was today crushed to death when a sand-laden lorry hit the two-wheeler driven by her father in the neighbouring village of Ussudu, police said.

Her father and another child escaped with minor injuries, police said, adding, the children were on their way to school.

The driver fled from the spot while the irate public set the lorry on fire.
