Girl raped by youth in Pb village

A 20-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Dakoha village of the district, police said today.

In a complaint lodged with the police yesterday, the girl said on July 11, Harjit Singh (21), a resident of the same village, raped her at knifepoint when she was alone at home.

He also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident, the complaint said.

Police have registered a case against Singh who is absconding.

Meanwhile, medical examination of the victim was conducted at civil hospital.
