Girl slips in well, drowns

A 19-year-old girl drowned after

slipping in a well here, police said today.

The girl, Vrushali Shridhar Hase, and her brother were yesterday fetching water from the well at Pangri village in Sinnar taluka here when she suddenly lost her balance and fell into it.

The villagers rushed to rescue her, but in vain, police said.

The body was later fished out by villagers and sent for postmortem, they added.
