The General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, Lt Gen SL Narasimhan today urged the people of North East region to ensure peace for greater prosperity to the region.
Extending greetings on the occasion of 29th Raising Day' of Spear Corps, Lt Gen Narasimhan said "Our relentless counter-insurgency operations, coupled with social responsibility and humane approach towards the local populace, resulted in a vastly improved security situation and infrastructural development in the region".
He also paid homage to the soldiers who fearlessly and selflessly made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the past many years.
The GOC urged all ranks of Spear Corps to maintain the highest standards of integrity, discipline and concern for the people of North East Region.
Headquarter 3 Corps was raised on February 4, 1985.
