Gold, digital cameras seized from air passenger

Customs department officials Wednesday seized 217 gms of gold worth Rs 7.2 lakh and digital cameras from a passenger who arrived here from Dubai.

Air intelligence wing officials intercepted Syed Ismayil on his arrival at the international airport and recovered the gold from his baggage, a customs release said.

They also seized four digital single lens reflex cameras totally valued at Rs 2.20 lakh, it added.
