Gold prices edged up by 0.10 per cent to Rs 29,359 per ten grams in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firm trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month April edged up by Rs 29, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 29,359 per ten grams in a business turnover of 3,893 lots.
Analysts said, participants widened their bets in step with a firming global trend, which mainly led to the rise in gold prices at futures trade.
Globally, gold rose 0.07 per cent to USD 1,241.90 an ounce in London.
