Gold recovered from passenger

Customs officials here recovered gold worth Rs 70 lakh from a passenger who arrived from Malaysia late last night.

Arafath, a resident of Chennai, was arrested after officials of Air Intelligence Unit of Customs found him allegedly carrying a two kg gold bar in his hand luggage, airport officials said.
