Fishermen from this island had a field day today as almost all of them returned with several baskets full of fish.
"Almost all the fishermen had rich harvest today and if the price also is good ", S Emiret President of the Fishermen's Association here said.
The fishermen wanted Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to ensure that fishermen from both the countries were able to fish in the traditional areas, he said.
They also wanted the two government to sign an agreement for fishing in the traditional areas by the fishermen from both the countries, he said.
