Govt doctor held after MBBS certificate turns out fake

A government doctor was today arrested for allegedly using a fake MBBS degree to land the job, police said.

Dr Genda Singh, posted at the district hospital here, was arrested as his MBBS degree was proven to be a fake following verification, SP, Basti, Anand Kulkarni said.

Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr PK Singh, had intiated a probe against the doctor after receiving complaints against him.

A lot of such fake certificates were recovered from the arrested doctor and a case has been registered against him, the SP added.
