Government will organise special job fairs for divyangjans (disabled) across the country for their economic uplift, Union Social Justice Minister Thaarwarchand Gehlot today said.

"These fairs boost the morale of divyangjans and give them platform to showcase their talent. There have been instances where divyangjans have outperformed normal people," he said while inaugurating the fair here.

He also informed that more than 2000 special camps have been organised to distribute tools kits and other professional equipment.

"Similar fairs will be organised across the country to provide opportunities to the disables so that they can be economically uplifted and at the same time become self dependent," Gehlot said.

About 30 private sector companies and industries are participating in this special job fair for divyangjans. Based on their requirements, these companies and industries are making assessments of divyangjans to give them employment.

Apart from this, the disables will be informed about the other various employment schemes, trainings and scholarships offered by the Centre.
