The 'grand alliance' of JD(U), RJD and Congress won majority to form the government in Bihar, bagging 126 of the 171 seats declared so far leaving behind NDA, which bagged just 41 seats.
Grand Alliance partner JD(U) won 54 seats, while its ally RJD won on 52 and Congress 20, according to Election Commission of India data.
In the 243-member Bihar House, the magic number to form a government is 122.
The NDA bagged only 41 with BJP securing 37, RLSP of Union minister Upendra Kushwaha two, LJP one and HAM(S) of Jitan Ram Manjhi one.
Two seats have been won by Independents and as many by CPI-ML(L).
The trends on rest 72 seats show RJD is ahead on 28 seats, JD(U) on 17 and Congress 7.
In NDA camp, BJP is ahead on 16 seats while its ally LJP is leading on two seats.
