Groundnut oil prices regained at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein held steady in the absence of any large scale buying.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial rebounded smartly on sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
In the futures market, castorseeds for December recovered good speculative demand amidst fresh export enquiries.
In the edible section, Groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 850 from Friday's closing level of Rs 840. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 596 per 10kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseed bold shot up by Rs 150 per 100 kg to Rs 3,850 from Rs 3,700 and castoroil commercial also climbed by Rs 30 per 10 kg to Rs 800 as compared to Rs 770 previously.
Linseed oil unaltered at Rs 820 per 10kg.
Turning to futures,castorseed December contract resume higher at Rs 4,000 and moved up further Rs 4,052 before settling at Rs 4,048 from Rs 3,958 yesterday, showing a net gain of Rs 90 per tonne.
