Guard killed in accidental fire

A 30-year-old guard was killed after a constable's rifle went off accidentally here, police said today.

Constable Brijesh Soni's rifle accidentally went off, killing guard Ramu (30) on the spot, Superintendent of Police Vipin Mishra said.

The accused has been detained and a detailed probe is underway, the SP said, adding the body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem.
