Gujarat CM meets Korean delegation studying Kalpsar project

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today met a Korean delegation engaged in preparing a study report of the proposed Kalpsar project, an ambitious project of building a dam in the sea in the Gulf of Khambhat to tap river water.

According to an official press release, a delegation of Korea Rural Community Corporation is in Gujarat to prepare the study report on Kalpsar project.

Since this Korean entity is also attached with a similar project called Saemangeum project in their country, Gujarat will be benefited from their experience, the release said.

During the meeting with Patel today at Gandhinagar, these delegates gave their views on various aspects related to the Kalpsar project, such as technical and engineering challenges, environmental impact, water velocity and development of salt production sites near the project site.
