Union Minister Krishan Pal Gujjar today announced compensation of Rs one lakh to each of the firecracker sellers whose shops were gutted in yesterday's inferno at Dusherra ground here.
Talking to reporters at Sector 28 in the city, he expressed profound grief and announced compensation of Rs one lakh each to 233 shopkeepers whose shops were gutted.
The local SDM provided Rs 50,000 each to the shopkeepers and rest of the amount will be given to them after the formation of Haryana government.
A massive fire had broken out at a Diwali cracker market in Dusherra ground yesterday, leaving over 230 shops gutted and five persons injured.
