Gur pedi prices improved by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today following tight stocks postion amid increased buying.
Muzaffarnagar gur markets also exhibited a rise of Rs 50 per quintal in gur Raskat following strong demand from beer makers.
Marketmen said insufficient stocks against current demand particularly pushed up gur pedi prices in Delhi.

Meanwhile, brisk demand from beer makers due to hike in mercury brought the rise in gur Raskat prices at Muzaffarnagar, they quoted.
In Delhi, gur Pedi prices enquired higher by Rs 50 to end at Rs 3,450-3,550 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, prices of gur Raskat too ended higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,450-3,550, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,900-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
