Gur prices remain flat on little doings

Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a limited range on scattered deals and closed with hardly any change.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled steady in thin trade.

Marketmen said tight arrivals and scattered demand, mainly kept gur prices unchanged.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,675-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
