The biography of Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, will be included in the curriculum in Jharkhand and the state government will celebrate his 350th birth anniversary, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said today.
The 350th birth anniversary would be celebrated with fervour in Jamshedpur and the date of celebration would be selected by the Gurudwaras' Committee, an official release quoted Das as saying.
The Punjabi Refugee Colony in Jamshedpur would be renamed as Guru Govind Singh Nagar, the release said, adding the Station Road here would be renamed as Guru Govind Singh ji Road.

Special trains would run from Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad to Patna during the celebrations, Das said.
The chief minister told the representatives of Gurudwaras Committees, who met him, that the state Minority Commission would be set up soon and the Sikh community would be given a proper place.
