Haryana govt to start online test for driving licences

Haryana Government will soon start online test for applying for driving licences to simplify the procedure in the state.

The online test would be started within a month or two, Transport Minister Aftab Ahmed said at the 25th Road Safety Week organised here by State Transport Department.

He said the state government has set up three driving schools involving a cost of Rs 50 crore to ensure road safety.

Ahmed said road accidents had decreased during the last three years due to consistent efforts of the state government, which included framing of stringent traffic rules and enacting laws concerning road safety.
 

Transport Commissioner Sumita Misra also spoke.
