HC upholds Uttarakhand govt order on caste certificates

The Uttarakhand High Court today upheld a state government order for issuance of caste certificates to residents staying in the state for 15 years.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Barin Ghosh and Justice Shailesh Kumar Gupta issued a directive upholding the state government's order of 2001 in which it said that those residing in the state for 15 years will be eligible for these certificates.
