Head constable suspended for campaigning in favour of SAD

A police head constable in Gurdaspur has been suspended for allegedly campaigning in favour of a SAD candidate, an election official said this evening.

Head constable Rajwant Singh had defied the discipline by participating in an election campaign, the official said.

Rajwant was allegedly campaigning for Akali candidate Sucha Singh Langha, who has been contesting from Dera Baba Nanak constituency which falls in Gurdaspur district, he said.
