Headmistress trapped while taking bribe in AP

A headmistress of Zilla Parishad Girls High School in Sathanapalli of Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh was today trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 10,000.

K Nagendramma, was caught red handed by the ACB Officials while accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant to deliver a cheque to him for Rs 1.5 lakhs towards construction of a kitchen room in the High School under the SSA (Sarva Siksha Abhiyan) Scheme, an ACB release said here.

The bribe amount was recovered from the Saving Bank account book of the accused officer at her instance, it said.
 

The case is under investigation.
