Health dept grants Rs 74 lakh for works in Jalna, Nanded

State Public Health department has sanctioned Rs 74 lakh for works in district hospitals in Jalna and Nanded.

According to government resolutions issued on Monday in this regard, for Jalna public hospital, Rs 54,90,495 has been sanctioned which includes repairing internal roads and repair works of residences of hospital staff.

For Nanded district, health department has sanctioned Rs 17,00,900 for setting up a laboratory at Guru Govindsinghji Smriti Hospital. It will function as district laboratory and all the major tests will be conducted here.

"These demands have been there for a long time but we were waiting for submission of a detailed proposal. It has been scrutinised by Public Works department officials and necessary permissions from Environment department have been granted," a senior Health department officer said.
