Heavy rains lash Thane

Unceasing rains lashed Thane and surrounding areas today.

A boy, who had gone for a swim with friends, drowned in the New Shivaji Nagar lake in Kalwa this evening.

His body was yet to be traced, a civic official said.

Wall of a public toilet collapsed at Sanjay Gandhi Nagar in Wagle Estate area this evening, but no one was injured.

Flooding was reported in Dutt Mandir locality of Rabodi.
