The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics
Department today seized 168 grams of heroin from the outskirts of the state capital.
Lalrinawma (21) and Rodingliana (18), both residents of Mizoram-Myanmar border village of Zokhawthar, were arrested in this connection, the department spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga said.
The contraband, worth around Rs 7.56 lakh, was smuggled in from Myanmar, he said.
The two accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
