Heroin worth Rs 25 crore seized

The Border Security Force today seized 5 kilograms of heroin worth Rs 25 crore from the Abohar sector along the international border.

According to a statement issued by DIG (Punjab Frontier), R P S Jaiswal, the jawans spotted a bag while patrolling near the Jagganath border outpost this morning, and found five packets of the contraband in it.

With this, the BSF has seized a total of 215 kilograms of heroin along the international border in Punjab this year, the statement said.
