High humidity in Bengal leads to discomfort

People in West Bengal continued to suffer from high humidity leading to extreme discomfort, though the temperature remained at 35 degrees Celsius.

There was little or no rain except in the hill town of Darjeeling since yesterday morning, which received 26.6 mm rain, the MeT department said.

The MeT department has forecast partly cloudy sky with the possibility of one or two spells of rain in the state for the next one day.

Sriniketan recorded the day's highest temperature in the state at 35.4 degrees Celsius, while Kolkata recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius during the day.
