The scrip of Hindalco Industries today rose by nearly 2 per cent after the company reported a standalone net profit at Rs 320.56 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.
Shares of the company went up by 1.65 per cent to end at Rs 185 on BSE. During the day, it rose by 3.24 per cent to Rs 187.90.
On NSE, shares of the company gained 1.62 per cent to close at Rs 185.
In terms of volume, 17.69 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Aditya Birla Group firm Hindalco Industries today reported a standalone net profit at Rs 320.56 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had clocked a standalone net loss of Rs 32.75 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Its income from operations rose to Rs 9,914.81 crore during the quarter under review from Rs Rs 8,715.94 crore in the year-ago period.
