Hot weather conditions persisted at most places in Punjab and Haryana today with Hisar recording 44.3 degree celsius, the highest in two states.
The maximum in Hisar was three notches above normal, MeT department said.
In Haryana, Ambala, Karnal and Narnaul recorded maximums of 39.8 deg C, 40 deg C and 41 deg C, respectively while Chandigarh sizzled at 39.8 deg C.

In Punjab, the maximum temperatures in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala were 41 deg C, 41.5 deg C and 41.6 deg C.
Weather is likely to be dry in both the states tomorrow, a forecast said.
