HSRT: Punjab forms panel to select training institute

Punjab Government has set up a committee for the purpose of selection of an institute for training of youths under the 'Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT)' programme.

Disclosing this here today, Tourism Minister Sohan Singh Thandal said this committee has been mandated to select institute for conducting training under HSRT programme.

HSRT is a training initiative to create employable skills among youth for the benefit of tourism sector.

The minister said the committee will have the Principal Secretary of Tourism as Chairperson, and Principal of IHM-Bathinda, Technical Education Director, Higher Education Director, Chief Admin of PUDA, and the Punjab Tourism Director as members.
 

"The criteria being followed by the Government of India for selection of such institutes shall be followed in the state," Thandal said.
