A woman was strangulated to death by her husband in Junsuti village here, police said today.
Hira Devi was strangulated to death by her husband Bijjo as she rejected his proposal to have an early issue.
Bijjo took her to a field on May 18 and strangulated her and dumped her body in a well, SP, City, Mukul Dwivedi said.
An FIR against the accused was filed by his brother-in-law, and during the interrogation he confessed his crime, he said.
Bijjo and Heera were married two years ago after the former's first wife left him, he added.
