I thought 'Ripper Street' series 3 would be the end: actress

"Ripper Street" is coming back for a fourth and fifth series, which came as a surprise to star MyAnna Buring.

Buring said she expected the grisly period thriller's third run - out now on DVD and Blu-ray - to be its last, reported Digital Spy.

"I thought that would be the end. I think with 'Ripper Street', you always think it might be the end - so people will be grateful when there's more! It's like a little treat."

"I think there was a general sense of what arc all the characters would take across the three series, and where they would end up," Buring said.
