IL&FS Eng wins Rs 559 cr electrification contract in Jharkhand

IL&FS Engineering Services today said it has won Rs 559 crore contracts for electrification work in Jharkhand.

IL&FS Engineering Services has received Letter of Intents (LOIs) from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam for Rural Electrification (RE) works for East and West Singhbhum districts in Jharkhand under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna, the company said in a statement.

It said it has also received LOIs for urban electrification works of Jamshedpur Electric Supply Area of JBVNL, covering eight towns (Jamshedpur, Mango, Jugsalai, Chakuliya, Adityapur, Chaibasa, Chakradharpur and Seraikela) in East and West Singhbum as well as Seraikela-Kharsawan districts in Jharkhand under Integrated Power Development Scheme.
 

"The total value of these contracts is Rs 559.35 crore and the completion schedule of the works is 24 months," the company said.

IL&FS Engineering Services recently won Rural Electrification (RE) works worth Rs 738 crores.

The company is currently executing RE works worth more than Rs 1,290 crores that involves works electrifying around 9,000 villages.
