Illicit liquor worth Rs 55K recovered from businessman's house

In a surprise raid, sleuths of excise department recovered illicit liquor worth Rs 55,000 allegedly from the residence of businessman here.

English liquor cartons from Haryana worth Rs 55,000 were found last evening during the raid at the house belonging to Devi Singh, the police said today.

The accused fled the scene when the sleuths raided the house, they said, adding that further investigation was on.
