Senior BJP leader Ravi Shanker Prasad today said India fully supports an integrated and sovereign Nepal and expressed hope that the Constituent Assembly election will be held as scheduled.
We in India are one in voicing that "Nepal should be strong and vibrant and move forward on the path of economic prosperity and development", Prasad said addressing an interaction programme in Kathmandu.
"It is upto the Nepalese people to decide what type of government, federal structure and political system they should have," he said, adding they are capable of determining their own political fate.

Prasad, deputy Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, expressed hope that the Constituent Assembly election will be conducted as scheduled on November 19, and deliver a democratic and inclusive Constitution.
Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ram Sharan Mahat sought India's goodwill and support in Nepal's transition to democracy and federalism.
We have always received goodwill and support from India whenever we fought for democracy and political freedom, he said.
Nepal needs to institutionalise the achievements of the Peoples Movement of 2006 through drafting a federal, democratic and republic constitution, he said.
CPN-UML leder Pradip Gyawali said the "Nepal government and the major political parties are trying their best for the dissenting political parties including CPN-Maoist, the breakaway faction of the Unified CPN-Maoist, to join the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections.
BJP leader Prasad, who arrived in Kathmandu on Friday on a three-day visit, met Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala, UCPN-Maoist chairman Prachanda and former Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and discussed the latest political situation in Nepal.
