Indian envoys to neighbouring countries meet

The focus was on the situation in neighbouring countries of India which are going through an "eventful period" during a two-day meet of Heads of Indian Missions here.

Apart from the analysis of leadership transition in China and its impact, the meet also discussed domestic scenario in poll-bound nations, including Pakistan, Iran and Maldives.

The meet, which concluded yesterday, was attended by among other Indian envoys to Pakistan, Iran and Maldives.

Apart from taking stock of the situation in these countries, the conference, organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, also discussed various issues "thrown up" domestically in these countries ahead of the elections.
