Indian women to open campaign against Thailand in T20 Asia Cup

Mithali Raj has been retained captain of the team, which has been clubbed alongside Pakistan, Hong Kong besides Thailand in Group A.

A day after their opening match on October 25, India will play Hong Kong, followed by their last round-robin match against Pakistan on October 28.

Harmanpreet Kaur Bhullar will be Mithali's deputy in the tournament.

The semifinals are slated to be held on October 30, a day before the title clash.

India failed to qualify for the knockout round after suffering three successive losses in the World T20 in Sri Lanka.
