INLD, the opposition party in Haryana, today submitted a memorandum to Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, accusing the BJP-led state government of "failing" to carry out its constitutional responsibilities and demanded its dismissal.
A delegation of INLD leaders, led by leader of opposition Abhay Chautala, submitted the memorandum to the Governor.
Referring to the SYL canal issue, INLD alleged that although BJP's Punjab unit is against giving Ravi-Beas water to Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has reportedly given his consent to campaign for his party in the poll-bound neighbouring state.

"Including the Haryana Chief Minister, other ministers in the state government will campaign for BJP in the neighbouring state (Punjab) ahead of the assembly polls which proved that the BJP government has completely failed in carrying out its constitutional responsibility," Chautala claimed.
"It is unfortunate that the Khattar government is acting against the interest of Haryana," he alleged.
Chautala alleged that despite the Supreme Court order in favour of Haryana in connection with SYL issue, the Punjab government continues to put stumbling blocks in giving water to Haryana.
He reiterated that INLD workers would start digging of Sutlej-Yamuna link canal from February 23 if the work on construction of canal did not commence.
