Iraq executes 12 death row jihadists: PM's office

Iraq executed a dozen death row jihadists, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's office said today, after he vowed swift action in response to the Islamic State group's killing of eight captives.
The executions, which took place yesterday, came shortly after Abadi ordered the "immediate" implementation of the death sentences of hundreds of convicted jihadists in response to the killings by IS.
