IT-dept raids premises of business group over tax evasion

Income Tax department today conducted raids on around a dozen premises of a business group dealing in education sector in Bhilwara district in Rajasthan.

The raids were launched over suspected tax evasion by the group which has its offices in Bhilwara and Maharastra, official sources said.

Details regarding the seizure, if any, will be disclosed when the operation is over, they added.
