Diversified group ITC today said it has launched a range of basic and blended spices under a newly created umbrella brand - ITC Master Chef - in the national capital.

"Every variant of the basic and blended spices have undergone more than 470 plus tests for pesticide residues as per European standards," ITC said in a statement.

The company said this is the first-of-its-kind spices launched in India, offering export quality 'super safe spices' to the Indian homemaker.

"We at ITC Ltd take great pride to present ITC Master Chef range of spices which ensures safety for the entire family without compromising on the taste and aroma of the product," Hemant Malik, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC Foods Division, said.

"This first of its kind super safe ITC Masterchef range of spices is yet another example of leveraging ITC's unique enterprise strengths including robust agri-sourcing, deep consumer insights as well as the culinary expertise of ITC's luxury hotel chefs," he added.

The company launched three basic variants, including chilly, turmeric and coriander and five blended spices variants including shahi garam masala, masaledaar meat masala and zaiqedaar chicken masala, among others.
