J&K police promotes 140 ASIs to SIs

In a departmental promotion move, Jammu and Kashmir police has ordered promotion of 140 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) to the rank of Sub Inspectors.

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Abdul Ghani Mir issued the orders of promotion to 140 Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Sub-Inspectors yesterday, a police spokesman said.

The Departmental Promotion Committee has cleared 199 Assistant Sub-Inspectors for promotion to the next rank and orders were issued in favour of 140 of them this time, he said.
